Blooming with lots of Kindness

You see an awesome card and then you have to have the stamp set.  We have all been there.  This was the set that I had to have, Blooming with Kindness from Stampin' Up.  I went a little crazy with it!

Below is the flower embossed in black on Perfect Plum.  then I took a watercolor brush and painted with bleach & water.  The PP turned into a Blush Blossom color so that is the other color I used for this card.  The set is called Brighter Tomorrows.

The next card is embossed black on Baja Breeze.  The bleach made it turn Blush Blossom so that is what I used to finish the card.  I added a butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri set and words from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Cherry Cobbler turned Apricot Appeal and yes, I bleached all those dots to make the background.

Then I sponged my brains out with this stamp set and also used the stamp set So Sorry.  I clear or white embossed and then sponged over it.  The dies are from Spellbinders.  I hope you enjoy - Heidi

  1. You're right about this set!!! Somehow I'd seen it in the catalog online, and bought it--for both that stamped flower as well as the amazing font of the sentiments just grabbed me. Then I've seen such amazing cards made with this set on SCS, and your grouping is absolutely STUNNING!

Really interesting the bleaching technique, I've never tried it, but you've definitely inspired me.

My favorite is the plum card, but then I love purple (an understatement). LOVE that bleach treatment in plum, you've really created some wonderful art!!!

Thanks for inspiring me, and giving me something SO enjoyable to experience!!!

This is my first time visiting your blog, I'll be back! WONDERFUL cards, Heidi!!!

    Best wishes,

    Joanne

  3. For the ribbon I used the retired slot punch at the top and bottom of the die cut. I then used a hole punch for the two middle holes. Put the ribbon around the card on the inside feed through the hole and tie while securing the die cut with stampin dimensionals. I hope this helps. Heidi
