Mojo 183

I think I needed a little Mojo jumpstart today. I have been feeling poorly as I transition back onto Medifast - my own fault. The weather here is terrible: cold, windy and rainy. My allergies and sinuses are telling me they are ready to go. I had so much pressure in my face today that I wanted to cut my head off! I feel better now.

These colors are a favorite of mine: Daffodil Delight with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. The DSP is from the Bold Brights stack and some leftover Christmas DSP. I sponged the Crumb Cake background with Chocolate Chip because I grabbed the wrong ink pad - oops! Otherwise the sponging is in Crumb Cake. The stamp sets are Fast & Fabulous and Because I Care from Stampin' Up. I finished my taxes so now I am going to attack my Pathophysiology.
Happy Night everyone! - Heidi

Sneak peek & botanical cards

I bought a Grand Calibur at Hobby Lobby and the scalloped square above was cut using it. This is a 5 1/2" X 5 1/2" card. The paper is a sheet of DSP from Stampin' Up called Botanical Gazette. I colored it in with various markers and a card appeared. Some Very Vanilla hardware, 1/8" Marina Mist taffeta ribbon and the Calendar Alphabet & Numbers set from Stampin' up were also used here.

The two cards below use sneak peek DSP and a stamp set from the new catty in July. You can order it in the month of April, however. The paper is Paisley Prints and the stamp set is Four Frames. I also used words from the You're a Gem set in the Occasions Mini catalog. Very nifty and I am loving it! Hope you are too! I think I am done for tonight - Heidi!

Here Kitty Kitty

I am taking care of my friend's cats and I needed to make a thank you card. I love this little kitty - he is so versatile! Unfortunately I don't remember who makes him, but he comes in a set with other pets. The fish and paws are from Stampin' Up and it is called C is for Cat. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Once again (see next post) I have stolen color combos from Stampin' Up's DSP. This is Rose Red, Very Vanilla and Pumpkin Pie cardstock, ink, and markers. The DSP is Sweet & Sour Specialty, of which I have none.

One of the cats I am watching is orange so I thought it fitting. The border punch is from EK Success and you can see that I punched the inside also. Beautiful 5/8" satin Pumpkin Pie ribbon completes the card. It's so darn cute I might not give it to them! - Heidi

Colorful Easter Blossoms

The first three cards are CASED from here. I wasn't sure what color it was that Laurie used so I tried a couple of different ones. They are all stamped with and matted on Early Espresso. First is Pink Pirouette, then Peach Parfait and lastly some Orchid Opulence. I also made a Baja Breeze one, but Beth borrowed it before I could photograph it. They are all stunners and Laurie did a fantastic job!

I CASED the next two cards from here. I am in love with Vicki's blog - you should check out her stuff! I made these two cards using color combos from the DSPs in the big IBC from Stampin' Up. The first colors are Basic Grey, Very Vanilla and Riding Hood Red - the paper is Love Letter.

The second card uses Concord Crush, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla and Basic Grey - the paper is Lap of Luxury. Why is that goofy Vanilla rose on your card, Heidi? Because I screwed up and punched the hole for my ribbon too low. I had to cover it with something! These cards are much better IRL, promise! Apparently I am in a CASEing mood! Good Night - Heidi
