Gingerbread men

I bought this punch for a friend of mine for an early Christmas present. I had to be sure the punch was working before I gave it to her. This is Riding Hood Red paper embossed with the vintage wallpaper folder and then I rubbed it with metallic rub. You can also use gold stamping ink on your finger and smear it around. The men are punched out and assembled - you NEED a quickie glue pen for this! The lines on the wrists and ankles are drawn with a white gel pen. I might need to go get this punch for myself! - Heidi

Teeny Tiny Wishes

Did I ever mention that I was a punch freak? It doesn't help that new punches from CHA are out! The above spider was punched in black and then highlighted with a white gel pen. After his eyes dried I used an orange marker to color his eyes. The embossing folder is from Stampin' Up and it is in the new Holiday Mini due out September 1st! Rub a little white craft ink on the web with your finger and it highlights the web.

This gal in my Microbiology class was wearing a scrub top in these colors so I had to make a card like it! It didn't turn out quite like I had wanted, but oh well. The colors are marina mist, barely banana, gable green and chocolate chip. Yes, I am holding on to my retired SU colors. Another new EK sucess punch.

My little owl has a home! He is from this post. I didn't figure out the tassel part, but he has a card to live on now! All stamps used are from teeny tiny wishes set from Stampin' Up. - Heidi

These ornaments use cherry cobbler, old olive, baja breeze and sahara sand and are stamped with timber brown staz-on.

These ornaments use black staz-on and are colored with garden green, real red, baja breeze, basic grey, blush blossom and blushing bride and the back is stamped with the snowflake images of this set in baja breeze.

Hope you like them! - Heidi

One Smart Owl

I used my new owl punch for the first time. Then I saw this graduation hat in an old set of mine called Little Layers Plus and it fits on his head perfectly! I am not selling that set in my rummage sale now. If only there was a good graduation saying in the big IBC from Stampin' Up because the mini is done at the end of the month. Darn it! - Heidi

Oh Christmas Ornament?

One of these day I will figure out how to get text in my blog before the pictures! Anyway my friend Beth came home from a hobby store with these blank ornaments. She gave me one to try stamping on. Oh, they are fabulous and easy! The Dasher ornament is stamped and sponged in marina mist. Then I misted it with silver foil Smooch spritz. To keep everything in place I sprayed it with a clear acrylic sealer. I cut the silver ribbon off and added my own marina mist ribbon.

I love the cardinal image in A Cardinal Christmas, but I hate coloring! This was fairly easy though as the stamp does all the shading for you. I stamped in black Staz-On, but I bet basic black would've worked. The berries are riding hood red, cardinal is real red, branches soft suede or crumb cake, leaves are wild wasabi accented with garden green, beak and feet are blush blossom and around the eye was a little pumpkin pie. He was sealed and topped off with real red ribbon. I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the same set on the back.

Why does the ornament need to stay white? I sponged classic night of navy over the entire ornament. Then using frost white shimmer paint I stamped the images from Welcome Christmas. Front is above and the back is below. Sealed it and tied it off with night of navy ribbon. I am thinking about doing a class with these. - Heidi
