Pink Fish, Yellow Fish, Green Fish

I wrote previously that I stumbled across some old Stampin' Up stamp sets at a local thrift store.  The other set that I bought at Value Village was a retired set called Fly Fishing.  I found very few examples on SplitCoast that I liked so I "borrowed" a concept from one of the cards.  That card is here.  After looking at it again I'd say my card is VERY different from hers. It's birthday and not graduation also.  Either way take a look at what I made.

I think that, for once, my idea turned out awesome! - Heidi

Something for everyone

Finals are next week so I will put something up before I hibernate.  The above card is made with book stickers that I found on clearance at Target.  There were four in a pack for $0.50 - what a deal.  It is mounted on Calypso Coral using romantic rectangle.  The card base is basic grey.  The tag is Spellbinders and the sentiment is from Stampin Up.  If there were four total that means I need to come up with three more Twilight cards so stay tuned!

Below is a mistake I made using the stencil from Stampin Up that I believe is no longer available.  It schmeared and was just awful, but I turned it around and made this card.  the banner is from Spellbinder.

Below is a card I made for Ralph who took time out of his day to come and help me put a fan in the bathroom ceiling.  What a mess!  He runs his own business and Ernesto carves with him when he can.  I had to say thank you the best way I know how - with a special and one-of-a-kind thank you card!  I just love Totally Tools and I'll never get rid of it!  Not particularly fond of the sayings in the set, but I love the tools! - Heidi

Mojo 189

Happy Monday everybody! I am in a superb mood because I studied my butt off and got a 49/50 on my Pathophysiology exam! Yipee! Now if I can just do that well on my final exam! Time will tell.

Anyway it was time to get some Mojo going. This card is a 5 1/2" X 5 1/2" square card.
The ship is from The Open Sea set (SU Summer Mini) & the happy birthday is from SU Occasions Mini hostess set Something to Celebrate - which is now retired.
Everything is stamped in Early Espresso. Cardstock colors are Night of Navy, Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler. The dies are all from Spellbinders: circles, lacey circles and tags. The DSP is the Brights Pattern DSP Stack from the SU IB&C and the Cherry Cobbler DSP is from Botanical Gazette from the Occasions Mini (now retired).
I sponged over the ship with (top to bottom)Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Cherry Cobbler and then Night of Navy for the water. I sponged Tangerine Tango around the TT cardstock circle and tag also. I took my Night of Navy marker and filled in the water. Because I didn't mask off the ship when I sponged I colored in the sails with a white gel pen to make them more realistic. I used Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon (retired) because I don't have the current Early Espresso. I couldn't figure how to pop holes in my ribbon for brads without ruining it. Enter in faux brads. I punched out Tangerine Tango, Night of Navy and Cherry Cobbler circles, glued them on and then used crystal effects to make them shine. I punched the border with SU's scallop trim border and finished it off with some Cherry Cobbler baker's twine from the new Summer Mini. Have a great night! - Heidi

Birthday cards at Maren's house

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Finals are upon me and I have been buried under my Anatomy and Physiology. I did come out victorious though with an A, I believe.

My upline, Maren, had a birthday stamp-a-stack and these are the cards we made. Enjoy -Heidi
