I am now more than ever!

I made this sign to hang in my stamp/study room to remind me of what I am doing going back to school. I did not get into the nursing program for the Fall. I am determined to complete what I have started, however. Ernesto bought a scrap piece of pine and sanded the edges. I painted it white and sprayed it with acrylic sealant. I then cut out the letters with brilliant blue cardstock and the Sizzix Serif Essentials Bigz Alphabet Die Set - both available from Stampin' Up. I need to hang it on my wall now. Perhaps I should've picked a shorter word, but it says what I want. - Heidi

New A6 embossing folders

I am loving these new A6 embossing folders that I ordered. I am into making bigger cards now that I can make the envelopes to go with them. The cards use either white core cardstock or Coredinations. After embossing the cardstock I lightly sanded it to get the aged effect.

Yes, that's in Spanish. It's for my husband mother. It's the Spanish version of Happy Moments from Stampin' Up. - Heidi

Letty's recycled card

My friend Letty sent me a birthday card. I wish I had taken a picture of it now so you could see how I recycled it into this card. She pretty much challenged me to do it! I don't have any of the Sweet Pea felt embellishments from SU, but I may need to rectify that in the future. - Heidi

Lotsa Flowers

Remember I said to try different colors with this idea? I did it! Top to bottom and left to right are Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Lavender Lace and Bermuda Bay. Some one needs to stop me! Below I bumped the design up a bit with some ribbon and stamping from Happy Moments from Stampin' Up. - Heidi

I am mystified by myself!

Yesterday, in my Nutrition class, while intently listening to the lecturer my eyes wandered to a folder sitting on her desk. The flowers were all the same size and on a black background. I quickly drew a sketch, so I could again concentrate on the lecture at hand. Here is the card I made using the extra large fancy flower punch from Stampin' Up and 3/4" and 1/2" circle punches also. This card was so easy to make and looks awesome. Think about switching up the colors for a different look. How about Apricot Appeal or Lavender Lace instead of Real Red. This would be a winner for any SU card workshop or class. - Heidi

Some of this and some of that

The above card uses punched elephants from sahara sand cardstock. The saying is short and sweet from Stampin' Up.

This card uses a favorite button set from PTI. I am becoming addicted to buttons!

Awash with Flowers

This is the preview set from Stampin' Up for the next catalog due out this Summer. It is delightful. Letty sent me some glitter buttons, so I used one on the above card. The background on the blue card is stamped with some glittery acrylic paint. It looks much better in real life! - Heidi
