Paint chip card in pictures

I thought I'd give a quick picture tutorial on how to make an easy paint chip card.

Obtain a paint chip from the local hardware store.  This is a True Value brand paint chip card.

Look! How nice of them to tell you what color to use for the card base.  I chose Bravo Burgundy to match their suggested compliment color.

Assemble a sentiment (mine is from All Holidays), some embossing powder and VersaMark (you could just regular stamp the words too).  Grab a background stamp (Off the Grid) and matching ink.  Stamp and emboss the A2 card base as you please.

Punch out your butterflies (or whatever floats your boat) and adhere to the card with double-sided tape.

Not too bad for a quick card!  I did try stamping with Staz-On before punching the butterflies.  The Staz-on smeared and I had to sacrifice the whole paint chip card.  The paint chip cards are a bit shiny and are hard to stamp on so if you choose to stamp the butterflies out with Papillion Potpourri make sure you don't smear and let it completely dry before punching. Background Basics

In keeping with the layout from my previous card - I thought I'd make a "Stampin' Up" version.  I am a demonstrator and I have several friends that are also demonstrators so I like to make cards that they could copy or get ideas from.

Card Size: 5 X 7
Cardstock: Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake.
Inks: Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Brocade Blue and Baked Brown Sugar.
Stamps: Backyard Basics, Gorgeous Grunge and Off the Grid.
Accessories: blender pen, paint brush, Backyard Basics die set.

Willow Leaf Card

Yesterday I spent a good deal of time messing around making this card.  I don't think it turned out half bad and I would have to say that it was out of my comfort zone.

This is a 5 X 7 card.  I had to go with a bigger size because the willow leaf stamp from PSX was so tall.  I used Handsome Hunter, Wild Wasabi, Old Olive inks.  The background uses Off the Grid and Gorgeous Grunge and the sentiment is Phrases 2 from Tim Holtz. Have a great day - Heidi

Monsters U and Juicy Juice

Good morning!  I have been working on these cards for a while now.  I wanted to finish the entire set before I posted them.  When I saw the Juicy Juice boxes I knew I had to make a set of cards just like I did when they had Disney Cars on the boxes.

See the Disney Cars cards here.

I apologize for the fuzzy pictures, but you get the idea.
