Farm Girl

When I won the World Cardmaking contest I received some Farm Girl paper and etcetera from October Afternoon.  It is very cute and retro stuff.  I made the following cards using some of their products.

The greetings are from Fiskars and the set is called All Year Greetings.  The flowers are two sets and punches from Stampin' Up called Petite Petals and Flower Shop. The cardstock is Ocean Tides from PTI and More Mustard from Stampin' Up.

Below uses Close to Cocoa cardstock from Stampin' Up.

Have a great day! - Heidi

Papertrey Fun!

I am in love with Papertrey Ink's chevron cover plate die.  I made some rainbow cards, that I have yet to post, and had leftover backgrounds.  They were lying on my work table when I got the idea to layer the backgrounds.  I think it looks way cool to layer the negative chevron pieces.

The stamps are from Bountiful Banners and Blooming Button Bits both from Papertrey Ink.  The cardstock I used was YoYo Yellow and Only Orange.  It is busy, but the background is stunning to behold.  Just a little tucking and gluing to make this card.  Have a Happy 4th. - Heidi

Perfume and Girly

I am not very girly.  I am not a bling person either.  I don't like working with glitter because it gets everywhere!  Here is my attempt at some girly cards using my Cameo Silhouette for the perfume bottles.  The sentiments are from Papertrey Ink.  Have a wonderful evening - Heidi

I like the above card the best!  I think the bottle on the lower right looks like a salad dressing bottle.  Oh well.

Man and Wife

I have a new love!  It is this die set from Papertrey Ink called Man & Wife.

This may very well be my new go-to die for wedding and anniversary cards.  I think I'll make more in different colors!  Have a crafty evening! - Heidi

Even more Immortal Love cards

I am addicted to making cards with the 4 1/2" X 6 1/2" mat stack of paper from DCWV called "Immortal Love." They are papers inspired by the vampire trend, but I believe that it is more Twilight inspired - truly. Each card uses a sheet from the mat stack. The above card is made with black and Lemon Tart (from Papertrey Ink) cardstocks. Some bright yellow ribbon, some Hero Arts rhinestones and an Immortal Love chipboard embellishment finish off this meadow card. Edward did "sparkle" when he and Bella were laying in the sunshine of the meadow.

The tree and moon card is Basic Black and Basic Grey cardstock from Stampin' Up. The chipboard moon is also an Immortal Love embellishment. The stamp is from Word Play by Stampin' Up. The rhinestones are also from Stampin' Up. The tree sparkles and is part of the paper. I amlost put silver cording across it, but I wanted to keep it simple.

I think this last card is my favorite! The paper is awesome all by itself and the chipboard embellishments (trees and moon) make it pop even more. The cardstocks are Basic Black (Stampin' Up) and Ocean Tides from Papertrey Ink. Ocean Tides is really close to Sage Shadow and I think either would've done a good job pulling color from the paper. I printed the sentiment out on Ocean Tides cardstock with my computer. Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug with a Spellbinder die - it turned out fantastic, if I may say so! The ribbon is Ocean Tides twill - also from Papertrey Ink. Satin ribbon would've been more elegant, but I don't have any (boo hoo). I thought of putting the sentiment "go jump off a cliff," but I think this is better. Insert evil laugh here. Have a good night - Heidi

MOJO MONDAY 159

Happy Monday everybody! I need to get back to doing some challenges in order to keep my Mojo going. Here is my card for this week's sketch. As soon as I saw the sketch I knew what stamp I would use. I bought the set Perfect Punches from Stampin' Up, but I hadn't used it yet. The paper is Candy Cane Christmas also from Stampin' Up. I cut it out with the Top Note die from Stampin' Up. I embossed the bottom Real Red layer with a distressed stripes folder from Cuttlebug. The background was embossed with the snowflakes embossing folder. The DSP coordinates with Garden Green and Baja Breeze, but neither of these colors is prominent on this side of the paper. I matched it up with Ocean Tides cardstock and twill ribbon from Papertrey Ink. I think it looks mojo-tastic. - Heidi
