Letitia's Birthday

My very good friend, Letitia had her birthday on April 15th.  This is the card that I made for her.

How cute is that?  The stamps are from Lawn Fawn and called Chit Chat and Hello Sunshine.  There are matching dies to these stamps as well.  I also used the dies stitched hillside borders from Lawn Fawn to make the landscape.  The paper is from My Mind's Eye and it is called Home. Have a great day - Heidi.

Floral Frames of Faith

Good morning to you all!  When I was out at Goodwill I saw this picture frame.  It is made of heavy cardboard and folds up like a small book.  You can stand this frame up and display it also.  I have a patient going through a rough time and I had an idea of what to do with this folding frame so I could give it to her.  Check it out below.

The triple frame is gorgeous on it's very own.  I used PictureMonkey to print out the words, then I cut them out and popped them into the frames.  I hope she likes it and I hope it will give her encouragement.  Have a great day! - Heidi

Sympathy and Flowers

My husband's co-worker had her mother pass away and he asked me to make a card for her.  Had to play with some of the new stuff.  Take a look.

The card uses the following dies:
Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Bold Blooms Matching by Julie Ebersole and
Essentials by Ellen Designer Dies, Bold Blossom Stand-Alone by Julie Ebersole.  Both of these dies can be purchased at ellenhutson.com.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Brighter Tomorrows.  The pearls are from Oriental Trading Company.

When I was assembling this card I started to dislike it.  I think next time I will turn the card horizontally.  It seems crowded to me. - Heidi

Happy Easter, Bunny!

Okay, so it's not Easter yet, but I'll post it anyway.  I found this Darice embossing folder on Etsy and of course, I wanted it.  I only saw one example of a card made with this folder and I took the idea and ran with it.  The listing on Etsy says it's an A2 size, but I beg to differ.  I don't have it in front of me, but I believe this card is a 5 X 7.  Take a look.

Not the greatest picture, sorry, as it is already in it's plastic sleeve.  For the dots on the eggs I just did a little painting with bleach and water.  Whenever you want to do light over dark I recommend you try paining with bleach water.  Even if the color doesn't turn out at least you can color over it with a marker.  For the Crumb Cake main piece that was embossed when I tested it with bleach water the color came out Barely Banana like.  So I matted the Crumb Cake with Barely Banana and Perfect Plum, I believe.  The ribbon is also Perfect Plum and folded in half.  Had to use my Big Bite to get those holes that far into the cardstock.  The stamp is from Eggstra Special Easter from Lawn Fawn and I think it is in Crumb Cake ink as well. - Heidi

Cuties Miss you

I love to recycle.  If I see and ad or a box or anything that catches my eye I will make it into a card.  I got this in the mail a while ago.  It is for my dogs' heartworm pills.  The puppy and kitty were so cute that I wanted to "extend" their usefulness into a card.  Below is the ad.

And here is the card!

I matched the cardstock to the cat's eyes.  The color would be Summer Sun from Stampin Up which is sadly, long retired.  The stamp is from a retired set called You're a Gem.  The "miss you" is an old Cuttlebug die.  I'm proud of how I cleverly covered up those words in the corner with my little scalloped circle.  Enjoy your day! - Heidi
