A Cricut Gingerbread card

I went to my friend Beth's house and tried her Cricut. This gingerbread man was cut on vanilla cardstock then brayered in Soft Suede. He didn't look right so I spritzed him with some Log Cabin Smooch. He's very shiny now! I used the Holly Jolly paper and some Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the card. His rickrack is a die from Papertrey Ink and cut out of Cherry Cobbler also. The sentiment is from Contempo Christmas and some circle punches to add some oomph! He has a matching envelope, but of course. - Heidi

Hunter Green & gold tree

Did you ever have an awesome idea in your head only to be disappointed once it was on paper? Well here is my latest! This is a whopping 7 3/4" X 5 1/2" card, but it is crooked and some of the gold texture is in different directions. I am far to anal for this card - too bad it is the ONLY one like it that I will make! Anyway, my friend Letty and I saw a card made with this die and loved it. Of course neither of us took a picture of that wedding card at our "local and now closed" scrapbook store. So there my Harlequin die from Provocraft sat until this idea popped into my head. The base and tree are American Crafts gold cardstock with some Handsome Hunter cardstock thrown in. Top it off with a gold glimmer brad from Stampin' Up. It's not awful, but it could be better. Okay for a first try. Have a fantastic evening! - Heidi

I know it's been done before....

....but I had to do it. These are so darn cute and perfect for Thanksgiving! Sorry the picture is crooked! If you go to Lynn's blog here she will tell you how to make it. Can I just say that the woman is a punch genius! Being familiar with a turkey's anatomy (I have a BS in Poultry Science from UW-Madison) I added some dots on the legs and body to represent where the feathers used to be. I know that turkeys have two legs, but after making six of these I was NOT going to make another 6 legs. Let's just pretend that the other leg is well hidden behind the leg you can see! Have a great day! - Heidi

December's class

The above cards are what we will be making in my December class. Class is on Saturday December 4th at 1:00PM. We will make 5 complete cards - including the insides and an envelope. Please contact me if you need more info. Sorry for the poor picture quality. The cards really are much cuter in real life. Have a great night! - Heidi

More Christmas

Yesterday I was trying to come up with some cards for my next class on December 4th. The first card is yuck and I am not feeling it at all. The second card is a ribbon CASE from SCS. I think I will mount it on a Riding Hood Red card base though. Hopefully I'll have better luck creating something today. - Heidi

Chemo Card

This is for my neighbor Diane that told me last week she had cervical cancer and she isn't even 40 years old! I am going to try and give her a card a week. This is a CASE from a Hallmark card. Inside it says (But if it sucks the cancer right out of you, then "YAY, chemo!"). The colors are Real Red and Taken with Teal. It is a 5 X 7 card. Have a great day! - Heidi
