Happy Hexagons

I saw this DCWV paper stack at JoAnn's and it has foil designs over kraft paper.  It's only 6 X 6, but very cool!  Combine it with the hexagon background die from Papertrey Ink and you get the following cool cards.

Just line all those hexagons up the way you want and stamp your sentiment and emboss with silver.  Simple yet oh so nifty! - Heidi

Ciao Bella - literally!

I said I would make a bunch of cards using the Ciao Bella stack that I bought at Michael's and I did.  Now the paper is gone except for a few sheets that I didn't like so that will go in my rummage sale this Summer.  Here are the cards I made from the DCWV stack.

Above & below use Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink for their card bases.  The remainder of the 12 X 12 sheet was cut up and used inside the card.

The card below is my favorite as I just love the color scheme.  The Baja-like blue and Pumpkin Pie look awesome together!  The bird is fussy cut and popped up, but the picture doesn't show it well.

The base for the next two cards is Plum Pudding from Papertrey Ink.  I am almost grateful that I could no longer afford to be a Stampin' Up demonstrator.  I hated being limited to what supplies I could use!  I have a love of papercrafting and want to use it all!

The bird on the left is fussy cut and popped up.  The sentiment is from the paper stack.

All of the dies used here are from Provocraft.  They are the dies that came with Cuttlebug embossing folders in a pack.  They are great for quick words!

The card bases below are Real Red.

The card bases for these cards are So Saffron.  I love how the words POP out on these cards.

Card bases below are Primrose Petals, Regal Rose & Pretty in Pink.  The first two cards are one sheet of paper split and the next card is the flowers all together.

Ruby Red, an oldie, but goody rounds out the card base for the next two cards.

One Stamp - Two Ways

I found this Inkadinkado stamp at Goodwill for $1.00.  I tried it out two different ways.  Which way do you like best? - Heidi

The below card is meant to look like an ornament hanging on a tree.  I used a sheet of pine branches from an old Christmas stack by DCWV.

For the card below I used SU paper called Festival of Prints from the 2012 Holiday mini catalog.

Card Size: 5 X 7.

Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla & Crumb Cake.

Ink: Black, Lucky Limeade, Cherry Cobbler.

Dies: Spellbinders Floral Ovals.

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Another Ciao Bella card

Yet another card from the DCWV Ciao Bella stack.  The birds and banner are fussy cut and popped up.  The words are from Cuttlebug. - Heidi

Ciao Bella

A10 card size, Ciao Bella paper, Cajun Craze & Blush Blossom cardstock, Occasional Quotes stamp set.

While wandering at Michael's (dangerous, I know) I came across this stack called Ciao Bell from DCWV.  It's girly, glittery and cutesy (everything that I am not) so of course I had to have it!  Plus I had a 50% off coupon!  How could I resist!?  I fussy cut around each bird or the rectangle above to give the card dimension.  My pictures do these cards no justice, of course.  Then I added a sentiment and made matching envelopes. - Heidi

Heroes and Butterflies!

The above card uses paper that I purchased from Paper Source called Heroes & Villians. It was so boy, retro cool I had to get some! The round batman is a kid's ring - you know tha kind that come on top of a cupcake. I recycled that by cutting the prongs off and sticking it to my computer generated saying. I love this card. Too bad I don't have anymore batman cupcake rings!

The card below uses DCWV paper from the Mariposa stack. It also uses a stamp from PTI and the paper doily die from stampin up. I spritzed the doily with smooch and fed some ribbon through it. Not bad! - Heidi

DCWV 4 X 6 mat stacks

I discovered the DCWV 4 X 6 paper stacks at Jo-Ann's starting with the Immortal Love stack here. They are the perfect size for 4 X 6 cards (A6). The above card uses a piece of paper from the Tattered Time stack. The sentiment is from SU's set - curvy verses.

The cowboy card uses two sheets of paper from the All About Boys stack. The embossed cowbot is punched out and mounted on the background sheet. The cardstock is So Saffron and Close to Cocoa. Love this for a boys card!

This card uses another sheet from the Tattered Time mat stack from DCWV. I printed the sentiment out on my computer and punched it out. The cardstock is Ocean Tides from Papertrey Ink. I couldn't find an SU color that matched! I love it! Have a fantastic day. - Heidi

Immortal Love Forever!

I'd like to say that I am not addicted to making these Immortal Love cards, but I guess that I am! The above card uses the chipboard embellishments (chess pieces) and the 4 1/2" X 6 1/2" mat stack of Immortal Love by DCWV. The sentiment was computer generated and run through my Cuttlebug with a Spellbinder die.

On the above card the corners and the heart on the right are also chipboard embellishments and the paper from Immortal Love. Simple and easy on the eyes. I hope to post some Cricut cards I made before I go back to school in two weeks. Have a great night - Heidi

Immortal Love & Twilight inspired cards

I must have had my head in the sand because I didn't know that DCWV was coming out with a new stack called "Immortal Love." It is based on the vampire trend and is not an official Twilight product, but it certainly could be. I bought mine on Sunday at Joann's and they are already out of the 4 1/2 X 6 1/2 mat stack two days later! I didn't buy the big 12 X 12 stack or matching album because I am not doing any scrapbooking with it - just cards.

**All cards features a piece of paper from the mat stack and are 5 X 7 in size**

The blue rose card has glitter (sparkle) already on the paper. The piece is matted with Baja Breeze from Stampin' Up and Smokey Shadow from Papertrey Ink. The saying is from Occassional Quotes by Stampin' Up. The envelope has the rose from Fifth Avenue Floral and the swirls from Baroque Motifs stamped on it. I had some fuzzy velvet ribbon that matched nicely, but the new Baja Breeze seam binding would've looked just as nice (if I had any at this time!).

This card has a triple row of bling that was in the ribbon aisle at Joann's. It is supposed to be ironed onto whatever you are sewing, but I glued it onto my card. I guess it could be a belt or hat embellishment and is sold by the yard at JoAnn's. I used Real Red as the card base, but now I am thinking that Poppy Parade would've been better as it is more red-orange in color. The LOVE is a die from Cuttlebug. The chipboard rose is in the Immortal Love chipboard box with all kinds of cool letters and objects. I made my own black leaves and blinged out the scalloped circle behind the rose. There is a matching envelope (there is also an Immortal Love cardstock stack) made from matching cardtsock and stamped with the rose from Fifth Avenue Floral.

Last, but certainly not least, we have a Team Jacob card. Me, I am Team Edward all the way, but I am also a creative fool! The base of this card is Bravo Burgundy and Crumb Cake. The piece of paper is killer and my picture doesn't really do it justice. I stenciled in the Team Jacob and punched it out and doodled in a border. Neat, clean and nice. I was trying to think of a different way to make this card a stunner, but I am at a loss right now.
