A Hunting we will Go!

Our Hobby Lobby moved about two months ago and they had all paper stacks for 50% off.  I guess they'd rather sell it than move it, but I am good with that!  I found this hunting/manly/outdoorsy stack of paper and of course I had to have it.  The designs are nice, but the paper is textured.  This makes it difficult to emboss on and photograph.  See what you think.

I messed around with a couple of different dies and some different birthday stamps and embossing powder.  The cards are A10s - so they are big.  I don't think they turned out too bad. - Heidi

Happy Hexagons

I saw this DCWV paper stack at JoAnn's and it has foil designs over kraft paper.  It's only 6 X 6, but very cool!  Combine it with the hexagon background die from Papertrey Ink and you get the following cool cards.

Just line all those hexagons up the way you want and stamp your sentiment and emboss with silver.  Simple yet oh so nifty! - Heidi

Man and Wife

I have a new love!  It is this die set from Papertrey Ink called Man & Wife.

This may very well be my new go-to die for wedding and anniversary cards.  I think I'll make more in different colors!  Have a crafty evening! - Heidi

Would you like some wine?

I took care of a cat this week and the owners collect wine stuff.  So I decided to "lift" this pattern from a card they had and make it my own.  I would be more than happy to post the pattern for anyone interested, just email me.  

I LOVE how it turned out because I sponged the heck out of it.  That gave it a very realistic look.  I chose blue to match the envelope I had made for it.  This card is a #10 size, I think.  It fits in the envelope that you would tri-fold an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of paper into for mailing.

Cardstock: Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise & Bashful Blue or Baja Breeze.

Stamps: Calendar Alphabets & Numbers.

Markers: Pacific Point & Tempting Turquoise.

Dies: Apothecary Accents. & Provocraft.

Punches: Various flowers.

Other: rhinestones, paper piercing pack, glue.

Ciao Bella - literally!

I said I would make a bunch of cards using the Ciao Bella stack that I bought at Michael's and I did.  Now the paper is gone except for a few sheets that I didn't like so that will go in my rummage sale this Summer.  Here are the cards I made from the DCWV stack.

Above & below use Pink Pirouette and Pretty in Pink for their card bases.  The remainder of the 12 X 12 sheet was cut up and used inside the card.

The card below is my favorite as I just love the color scheme.  The Baja-like blue and Pumpkin Pie look awesome together!  The bird is fussy cut and popped up, but the picture doesn't show it well.

The base for the next two cards is Plum Pudding from Papertrey Ink.  I am almost grateful that I could no longer afford to be a Stampin' Up demonstrator.  I hated being limited to what supplies I could use!  I have a love of papercrafting and want to use it all!

The bird on the left is fussy cut and popped up.  The sentiment is from the paper stack.

All of the dies used here are from Provocraft.  They are the dies that came with Cuttlebug embossing folders in a pack.  They are great for quick words!

The card bases below are Real Red.

The card bases for these cards are So Saffron.  I love how the words POP out on these cards.

Card bases below are Primrose Petals, Regal Rose & Pretty in Pink.  The first two cards are one sheet of paper split and the next card is the flowers all together.

Ruby Red, an oldie, but goody rounds out the card base for the next two cards.

Multiple Super Mario characters

My children each got a 5 pack of Super Mario Brothers plushies for Christmas.  On the back of the cardboard were these great circles with the characters in them.  I am certainly not one to throw away any good items that could be recycled into something useable.  So I made some cards, naturally!

Snoopy sticker card

I take my kids to the doctor and they get stickers for being good.  Only thing is that Mom gets the stickers so she can make cards from them!  I am a recycler at heart, what can I say?

Card Size: A2.

Cardstock: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi & White.

Paper: Sticker from Kidslovestickers.com.

Other: Lacey squares from Spellbinders, label punch from SU, Wild Wasabi ribbon and corner rounder punch.

Ink: sentiment printed on computer.
