The last post a did was a cute card for my best friend, Letty. That was in April. Sadly, my friend died suddenly of a heart attack on July 11th at a too young age of 41. She leaves behind her husband and three kids ages 5,2 and 1 year old. Sad and tragic indeed.

April 15, 1974, in Superior, Wisconsin, the only child of Mary and Ian
Murdoch, Letty passed away suddenly at her home in Killeen last week.
Letty arrived in Longview at the age of six weeks and was subsequently educated at St. Marys School, Trinity School of Texas, and Forest Park Middle School. At 14, she and her parents moved to Racine, Wisconsin, where she graduated from William Horlick High School and the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis. There she majored in speech communication and was a proud member of the Tri Delta Sorority (Social). Letty then returned to Longview, and in 2003 she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Tyler. The next year she began her ten-year teaching career at General Shoemaker High School in Killeen. Always seeking to inspire her students, she served as a teacher of Communication Applications and World History and was a girls Soccer Coach. In 2008 Letty was awarded a masters degree in Computer Programming.
At Shoemaker, Letitia met Greg Jordan, a physics teacher and Boys Soccer Coach, and the couple married May 24, 2008, at the Inn of Salado. Because it was Memorial Day weekend, they returned to school the following Tuesday and postponed until the summer a honeymoon in Scotland.
Letitia is survived by her husband, Greg Jordan, and four children, Ian, Duncan, Daisy, Declan, her parents and Gregs parents, Effie and Larry Jordan. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts, devoted friends, and former students.
Letty was a gifted seamstress and gained great satisfaction from creating her childrens clothes. She enjoyed her friends and neighbors and students, and she made a positive difference in every life she touched. She was a caring daughter and wife, but perhaps she found her greatest joy in her children, the littles, as she called them.
