September card class

Here are the cards from my class in September. I am using all kinds of products and not restricting myself to Stampin' Up only. This makes for a wider variety of cards and attendees can use different products at my classes. - Heidi

August card class

I am a little behind on my posts. These are the cards we made for my August class. I wanted a wide variety of themes so there would be something for everyone. - Heidi

Wedding Bluebirds

Happy Saturday! I have had this little bird from We R Memory Keepers for some time now. It is called vintage robin and is a two-step clear stamp. The bird on the left is stamped with Bashful Blue and then Pacific Point for the outlines. The bird on the right is stamped in Marina Mist and outline stamped with Night Of Navy. These colors coordinate with the blueberry crisp paper from Stampin' Up. The base card is 5.5" X 5.5" and cut from Pacific Point. The sentiment is from the Occasional Quotes set by Stampin' Up and is stamped in Pacific Point. The branches use the bird punch by SU and are from Sahara Sand cardstock. Add on some dew drops, stickles and use Labels 11 nestabilities from Spellbinders and there you have it. The ribbon is Bashful Blue satin from SU that I believe is retired. I colored their beaks and feet with a Sahara Sand marker. Oh and a little pearly Ranger goo on the O in DO for the diamond on the ring. I think it is faboo and I am going to put this card in my next class. We'll make an envelope to match also. -Heidi

Gingerbread men

I bought this punch for a friend of mine for an early Christmas present. I had to be sure the punch was working before I gave it to her. This is Riding Hood Red paper embossed with the vintage wallpaper folder and then I rubbed it with metallic rub. You can also use gold stamping ink on your finger and smear it around. The men are punched out and assembled - you NEED a quickie glue pen for this! The lines on the wrists and ankles are drawn with a white gel pen. I might need to go get this punch for myself! - Heidi

Teeny Tiny Wishes

Did I ever mention that I was a punch freak? It doesn't help that new punches from CHA are out! The above spider was punched in black and then highlighted with a white gel pen. After his eyes dried I used an orange marker to color his eyes. The embossing folder is from Stampin' Up and it is in the new Holiday Mini due out September 1st! Rub a little white craft ink on the web with your finger and it highlights the web.

This gal in my Microbiology class was wearing a scrub top in these colors so I had to make a card like it! It didn't turn out quite like I had wanted, but oh well. The colors are marina mist, barely banana, gable green and chocolate chip. Yes, I am holding on to my retired SU colors. Another new EK sucess punch.

My little owl has a home! He is from this post. I didn't figure out the tassel part, but he has a card to live on now! All stamps used are from teeny tiny wishes set from Stampin' Up. - Heidi

One Smart Owl

I used my new owl punch for the first time. Then I saw this graduation hat in an old set of mine called Little Layers Plus and it fits on his head perfectly! I am not selling that set in my rummage sale now. If only there was a good graduation saying in the big IBC from Stampin' Up because the mini is done at the end of the month. Darn it! - Heidi
